Scoring for the Goals

UN Headquarters, New York

2022

The landmark launch of Scoring for the Goals

On the 17th September 2022, 59 Productions projected onto the United Nations Headquarters at an event for The Government of the State of Qatar, in collaboration with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, and Education Above All. In the lead-up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar this event celebrated the landmark launch of Scoring For the Goals as part of the Education Summit at the General Assembly.

Hailed as the most environmentally friendly World Cup in history, this global tournament aims at delivering tangible progress toward the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and underscores the power of football in the promotion of peace and development, respect for human rights, gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, and climate action.

Working closely with video technical partner Quince Imaging Inc, the event featured projection mapping on the East Facade of the General Assembly building and the Secretariat building of the UN headquarters in New York and highlights each of the 17 goals and how sport can offer a great platform to promote and achieve them.
