7. What personal data may be collected and processed in relation to your use of this website

Cookies are short text files, saved within a user’s browser, that contain data relating to a user’s session (visit) and their interactions and usage of the website. 1st party cookies are cookies set by the website you are visiting and typically relate to essential functionality. 3rd party cookies relate to cookies set by external services that typically relate to the tracking of site traffic and user engagement.

This website uses 1st party cookies for a variety of purposes including the provision of the website’s security firewall, media caching and other essential functional aspects of the site. A small number of 3rd party cookies may also used to enable us to analyse user interaction and engagement via analytics services.

In compliance with GDPR, we ask new site visitors for consent via a ‘consent banner’ prior to the use of non-essential cookies or tracking software.

By clicking ‘Accept’ within the consent banner (or ‘Enable Cookie Consent Mode’ below) you are granting permission or agreeing to our use of non-essential cookies and 3rd party software that may make use of personal data, such as a user’s IP address, that may in some instances process that data outwith the EEA. Where consent is granted, Google services may gather data from users of this website in line with their ‘analytics_storage’ consent mode only.  More info on Google’s consent modes can be read on Google here.

If you no longer see the consent banner loading (or the button below reads ‘Revoke Cookie Consent Mode’) this means you have previously chosen to accept our use of cookies and 3rd party tracking software. Clicking that button will reset your consent choice.

Should you choose not to ‘accept’ or to ‘revoke’ consent, software that makes use of non-essential cookies or 3rd party tracking services will not load, with the exception of Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics which will be loaded in an appropriate consent mode that limits the data shared with and processed by Google’s services. This limited consent mode is fully GDPR compliant and does not require user consent.

7. 3rd party content and media players

A number of web pages within our website contain media players provided by 3rd party platforms such as Vimeo and YouTube. Interaction with this type of external media player may result in the use of 3rd party cookies and user data being gathered by the respective 3rd party platform. Wherever possible, we will endeavour to load this type of content using ‘privacy mode’ if one is provided, however, we have no control over external platforms or the way in which they collect, transfer, process or store data.
