We are currently recruiting for a Design Intern to join our team for a period of between 3 and 6 months to assist with our creative work across a range of projects.  Our interns are paid and work 5 days per week with a pro rata holiday allowance. JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Senior Assistant Designer

Salary band A: £14,000 pa pro rata

Works with: Senior Assistant Designer, Creative Directors, Freelance content creative team

Overall purpose of the job:
To gain experience within a professional design studio whilst assisting the Senior Assistant Designer and other company members in the creation and realisation of all 59 projects. To work as a cohesive member of the team and provide support and facilitation across a range of projects as required.

Day to day responsibilities will include but not be limited to assisting in:

  • Creating visualisations (2D or 3D)
  • Creating visualisations (2D or 3D)
  • Producing pitch documents
  • Research: coordinating and presenting research to the designer
  • Helping to manage the scheduling and delivery of content production as part of the project team
  • Logistics: scheduling as required, arranging transport, making bookings etc.
  • Administration and documentation

Training opportunities will include:

  • Access to range of software, equipment and tutorials
  • Mentoring from Senior Assistant Designer
  • One to one sessions with Creative Directors
  • Insight into company administration
  • Attendance at certain client meetings as appropriate
  • Creating and contributing to a wide range of exciting projects

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:

  • Excellent visual design skills ideally with a level of skill in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • An ability and willingness to work as part of a team
  • An ability to multitask effectively and handle multiple workflows at any one time
  • An ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A passion for performing arts and creative design industries
  • Proficient with MS office and Mac OS 


Desirable:

  • Experience of camera operation (still and video)
  • Editing skills
  • Analogue drawing skills
  • Professional design experience
  • Theatrical or musical performance experience
