About the project

In April 2006, the ground-breaking, award winning theatre company Grid Iron staged their most ambitious production to date - 'Roam', performed at Edinburgh International Airport. The Herald called the show a 'sensational experience' and the Scotsman praised 'Grid Iron’s sheer practical genius'. 'Roam' was awarded 'Best Production', 'Best Technical Presentation' and 'Best Ensemble' at the 2006 Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland.

Fifty Nine Productions' documentary 'Roam [wasn't staged in a day]' follows the cast, crew and creative team from rehearsals to opening night, showing how they overcame the challenges of a busy international transport hub, to create a world-class piece of site-specific theatre.
