One intrepid mind took on the universe and won

Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Einstein’s discovery of the general theory of relativity, Light Falls weaved together dramatic portrayals, state-of-the-art animation and innovative projection techniques to trace Einstein’s electrifying journey toward one of the most beautiful ideas ever conceived.

Performed at the World Science Festival in 2015, Brian Greene and an ensemble cast created a dramatic retelling of the breakthrough moments, near misses, agonizing frustrations, and emergence into the light, as one intrepid mind took on the universe, and won.

59 productions designed the tricks, animations and projections that brought this piece to life, transforming one of the most powerful scientific ideas of the 20th century into a spectacular, stage-filling journey.
