OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To assist the Production and Technical departments and wider 59 team in the preparation and realisation of all 59 projects and company activities. To gain professional technical experience within a busy design studio working across a range of UK based and international projects. To work as a cohesive member of the team and provide support and facilitation across a range of projects and company tasks as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting in the technical set up of projects
  • Assisting with on-site work as necessary
  • Assisting in the production of technical specifications and costings
  • Drafting
  • Producing schematics
  • Logistics: arranging delivery and collection of equipment etc.
  • Administration and documentation as required
  • Management of technical stock; creation and management of office inventory
  • Model box presentation setups
  • Meeting room AV management and meeting setups
  • Working with the IT department (external) on general IT setups and maintenance
  • Point of contact for all technical deliveries; dealing with couriers and drivers
  • General office assistance as required

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

Applied Technical

  • Wide-ranging technical knowledge of computer and video systems
  • Interest, experience and knowledge of applying technology to theatrical / arts projects
  • Experience working on live events in a technical capactiy
  • Experience of working with complex content management pipelines
  • Experience with CAD Software (AutoCAD or Vectorworks)
  • Organised, hard-working and able to meet deadlines
  • An ability to multitask effectively and handle multiple workflows at any one time
  • An ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • An ability and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Ability and desire to enable work across projects in the studio
  • Proactive problem solver

Day to Day Studio Technical

  • Understanding of Macintosh and Windows computer systems
  • Basic understanding of networks and networking
  • A willingness to pitch in and support the whole 59 Productions team as required

Desirable

  • Understanding and experience of programming lighting desks or media servers
  • Understanding of 3D workflows and 3D software (e.g. Rhino, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, V-Ray)
  • Understanding or experience working with Creative video software, e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max
  • Knowledge of video server software
